Hey everyone, welcome back to Just Abide Daily. This is Cory Patton with a special message for us today. If you’ve been reading the devotions, listening to the podcast, sharing with a friend, or praying for this ministry… this letter is for you.
We are celebrating one year of ministry as Just Abide Daily on June 27th, 2026.
And I just want to pause and say: WOW. Praise the Lord!
At the beginning of 2025, I joined a group of friends that read one chapter of the New Testament each day. We did it on a Bible app, and we used the chat feature to talk about what God was showing us. I’d been reading the Bible in a year since around 2015, and I had never done it that way before. But I felt God nudging me to try something new. And I can honestly say… God did a new thing.
As I sat with the Word long enough daily to share what God was saying to me in the chat, others began to benefit. God was using me to encourage others. And after about six months, I felt the Lord leading me to make those devotions public. We started with a simple website that made it easy to share the devotions through automated emails. And shortly after that, I started recording the devotion as a podcast, so it could be more accessible for people on the go. And those two things—the written devotions and the podcast—are still the heart and soul of Just Abide Daily.
Coming back to the quiet place daily to be with God and allow him to write something on my heart is special. I can’t describe it. But being able to share with you what God’s been speaking to me—honestly—it feels like a double portion. It is overflow. It is the definition of abundance. I’m thankful God continues to use our ministry in this way…Praise the Lord.
And I just want to say thank you. Thank you for encouraging us. Thank you for sharing the devotions or the podcast with your friends. Thank you for praying for us. And thank you for being faithful to read or listen to the devotions as we are faithful to share them with you.
Now, I also want to celebrate something important. In May 2026, we received our 501(c)(3) status with the IRS. And we pursued that because we want to make sure this ministry creates a lasting impact. But to do that, structure was needed. Other leaders were needed to assist us. And resources are needed to sustain the mission of Just Abide Daily. So we’ve set up a five-person board, established bylaws, opened a bank account, and we’ve built a budget. And we’re already seeing God provide resources to support the ministry continuing and expanding.
Which leads me to this:
We want to offer all of our subscribers the opportunity to give to Just Abide Daily.
If this ministry is a blessing to you, we truly believe God can multiply it through your generosity so we can reach more people. We also have vision for other ways to share these teachings, and that will require funding. But we aren’t going to hoard resources. I want you to know, we will bless other ministries with a tithe of all that is given to us.
