Every area of my life? Ouch. This reminds me of the old song I Surrender All. It doesn’t say I surrender some for a reason. Following the Spirit in every area of our lives can feel daunting. But the more I submit to the Spirit instead of the flesh, the more I choose to surrender.
I’ve seen how God does more than I could ever imagine through simple obedience to the Spirit. He wants all of us, not just part. And the truth is—we’re the most fulfilled when we willingly give it all to Him.
The fruit of the Spirit is the evidence of following the Spirit’s lead. When our roots go down into Him, the fruit that shows up in our lives is unmistakable.
Every tree that produces good fruit must have good roots. Spending time with the Lord and knowing His Word keeps us rooted in the Spirit instead of the world.
