The Love of a Shepherd
The love of a shepherd keeps watch anyway.
We do not get extra credit from our Father for finishing somebody else’s work while ignoring the calling He placed in our hands.
Some truth can be heard from a platform, but some truth is only learned through relationship.
“When trust moves from circumstances to Christ, peace follows.”
Trusting someone else to carry work we care about is one way we surrender our desire to control and abide in Jesus as the true Shepherd.
The Comforter, Helper, Advocate, and Encourager of God has not forgotten any of us.
When we meet Jesus, we finally know why we are here: to live in relationship with the God of heaven and earth.
The heart of a shepherd will pull leaders toward places they do not always need to be, and the people of God should love them enough to help protect their lives.
